Blackall is once again a tranquil country town after the buzz of the B150 dies down.
Blackall hosted an amazing 10 days of celebrations as the town turned 150 years 1868 – 2018.
The Blackall Tambo Regional Council provided an emaculate back drop for the town to host a cluster of different envets. Well attended by residents past and present as well as welcoming many vistitors.
The celebrations included
Meet and Greet, rugby league reunion, art exibitions, book launch, Shockwave youth festival, historical display, flower show, blaa luncheon, barcoo blue light billy cart races, colour run, marketstalls womens nines football and a colts and whitehouse (former town clubs) rugby league re enactment game. Entertainment by Graeme Connors cattle sale, woolscour tours and displays entertainment by Tanya Kernagan Keith Jamieson and Chris Pritchard, willows famous campoven dinner, Drovers reunion, poetry, gymkhana, ball, barrel racing, professional bull ride and combined church service.
All events were well attended giving people the chance for families to reunite, old friendships to be renewed and new friendships to form.
