THANK YOU JUST ISN’T ENOUGH TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION TO THESE WONDERFUL SOULS! ‪#‎BurrumbuttokHayRunners‬

The Burrumbuttok Hay Runners are travelling the miles again to help our aussie farmers. The town was filled with smiles as the roar of the 258 trucks entered Blackall on their way to Ilfracombe. From square bales to round bales these truckers have brought whatever they have got to help provide some source of feed to help our farmers and animals in drought.

Brendan ‘Bumper’ Farrell has become an iconic Australian figure. In just a few years he has managed to turn the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners into a National brand. Mr Farrell, a farmer and ‘truckie from NSW was desperate to help communities that has suffered years from drought. (Lisa Alex- ‘The Barcoo Independent’)

The long trail of trucks that drove through Blackall to Ilfracombe on the 1st of April 2016 has been recorded as ** WORLDS BIGGEST TRUCK CONVOY ** with:

– 258 trucks.
– 406 trailers.
– 6 Million dollars worth of hay.
– 1800km from Burrumbuttock to Ilfracombe
– Over 13,500 rounds & square bales of hay.
– 800 farmers feeding 300,000 animals.
– Trucks from NSW, QLD, VIC, SA & TAS
– 500 odd volunteers
– 1 Brendan ‘BUMPA’ Farrell
All keeping the dream alive for our Aussie Farmers!

(IF ANYONE WANTS OR IS SEARCHING FOR A PHOTO OF A SPECIFIC TRUCK PLEASE CONTACT US AS WE TRIED TO GET A PHOTO OF ALL AS THEY PASSED!)
