Below is a list of events where you can celebrate the Cup’s arrival to Blackall this Friday the 29th July.
9am – 10.45am:
Morning tea at the Blackall Woolscour.
1.30pm – 2.30pm
Blackall State School visit.
2.30pm – 3.30pm
Blackall Post Office visit & public photo opportunity.
6.30pm til 10pm
‘The Race that stops the nation’ cocktail party at Blackall Cultural Centre.
This year the Tour will visit 34 destinations across Australia and New Zealand before returning to Flemington for ‘the race that stops a nation™’ on Tuesday 1 November.
In one of the most emotional finishes to a Melbourne Cup in its long history, Damien Oliver looks to the heavens after winning the 2002 race on Media Puzzle.
